My goals for this site are as follows:
1) Create a site where every event in and around Lansing and East Lansing is listedby members of the community. I always hear that there is"nothing to do around this city", or 'I always find out about events the day afterward and did not attend."
a) I would like to promote musicians, art, family events, family activities, child events, homeschools, school events, mother daughter and father son activities, cross cultural events, food and wine tasting, upcoming shows and plays, high school sporting events, tryouts, business networking, social networking, ect.
b) Partner with many other local companies and networks to promote and cross promote our products
2) Promote high school sporting events for guys and girls.
a) Upload video footageof all events from all area schools for football, soccer, baseball, softball,volleyball, wrestling, ect
b) I think it would be great for parents, grand parents, aunts, uncles and extended family to be able to see the kids play if they were not able to attend the games inperson.
c) Allow for college scouts to see the kids in action possibly leading to college scholarships or invitations!
3) Provide a spotlightfor local business owners to talk about your business and what makes you who you are.
a) Provide pictures and videos to get a more personal view of your business
b) This would become an extension of your current website or possibly the first web presence you have for your business
c) Perform one on one interviews with business owners or managers
4) Increase traffic to site
a) Prove that paying for a banner advertisement would not be a waste of money
c) Sell premium banner placements and track amount of business referred to your business
5) Increase classified ad section
a) Provide a quick turn around for products and services to which members of our community wish to buy or sell
s) Allow a place for business's to promote their products and services to members of our community
