I have found it to be somewhat difficult to navigate back to our profile page after clicking any tab outside of the profile area.
Once you log in you will be directed to your main "profile page". To go back to that page later after you have clicked on any of the tabs outside of the profile page area, you will need to select "my account" from the purple row of tabs at the very top of the page. Then click "account main" in the drop down menu to be directed back to your personal profile.

The personal profile page includes the following tabs for identification purpose:
MAIN, MY PAGE, SETTINGS, MESSAGES, SUBMIT ITEMS, MY ITEMS, FRIENDS, FAVORITES, BULLETIN and INVITE

This site can seem overwhelming when you first become a member.
It takes a little time to get used to where things are and how to navigate. We have so much information on this site that you could almost make this site your home page when your web browser loads up! (hint, hint)
I divide the site into two sections. The row of tabs at the top which are in the purple bar I call the "I can add" to our community or to our profile tabs. The row of tabs shaded green I call the"things to do or places to visit" tabs. These are the site navigation tabs. I hope this helps a little as you become more fluent with the site and all that it has to offer.

Attention all business members.

After registering as a member make sure you list your business in the business directory. There are numerous advantages to doing so. If you do not find a category that best suits you shoot me an email and I will create one for you.

Completely fill out your profile and business listings for maximum exposure.

Many websites out there are charging hundreds of dollars a month for the ability to expose your business, products, or services with the maximum capability that is provided to you through this site.

The Lansing Grape Vine website is continuing to grow and become highly ranked and indexed by Google. Our Page rank just went up the other day. You will also receive a valuable back link from Google to your website of choice if you add one to your profile.

Any blog, forum post, classified ad, business listing, or event you post is indexed and searchable by Google within a few minutes in many cases.

Your information is also sent out to all the social network sites and my contacts instantly as well.

Do not forget to "LIKE" us on Facebook or "FOLLOW" us on Twitter so you can track your updates to the site. You can also post your info to those sites as well.

We have found over and over again many times the information you added to our site will out rank your own website. By search "Lansing Time Bandit" for instance Lansing Grape Vine pulls up number 1 and 2 currently for this search result related to the race boat information we posted a blog about recently.

Don't forget to upload your videos and photos properly tagged and named to the site. It will give you free exposure for your products and services. Even older ones you have already posted to YouTube a long time ago. If possible upload them directly to the site. If not you can stream them to the site from YouTube.

You do not have to re write new content for this site. You can just repost your older blogs, articles, press releases, ect to this site and they will be redistributed all over the internet providing new readers and links back to your website. 

Always post a link back to your site in all your posts so you get credit for them. If possible post an "anchor text link" after each post. If you do not know what that means read our SEO forum about how to get your website highly ranked on Google.

If you would like to have a banner advertisement on our site please email me. We are not charging anything to create and run the ad. We can work out some kind of an exchange agreement or something if you would like.
