For as long as I can remember listening to the radio while I was growing up Rich Michaels was there to announce the morning news, spin some records, and toss out his opinion about whatever topic interested him.
Love him or hate him he spoke about current issues that were both controversial and fiercely contested. Rich took a stance for what he believed in and invited others to do the same.
Rich was released from his morning show “They kicked my ass out under trumped-up insubordination (claims),” Michaels said in his City Pulse article.
Rich has always been opinionated and the network should have expected this when they hired him and should not have come as a surprise.
How about the charge of the radio network clearing the way for a cheaper alternative to save money in a down economy?
Doesn't a company have the right to hire and fire who they want?
It seems controversy has followed Rich Michaels home. Apparently at the center of all this is a non compete agreement he was forced to sign or be terminated.
If I remember correctly a contract is not valid if it is signed under duress. I guess this one will be decided by our court system sooner or later.
In my opinion if there is a radio station that will hire him and a city that wants to listen come to some sort of an arrangement and turn him loose.
